Many places around the world entertain their guests by providing the most unique hotels that they can imagine.
What an extraordinary hotel this is! The Muraka is an underwater experience located on the Conrad Maldives Rangali Island. It is an underwater two-story villa that sits over 16 feet below sea-level. Fish and other sea creatures probably think that they are actually viewing humans in an aquarium rather than the other way around. For those who wish to try it, it will cost a pretty penny at $50,000 a night but does include a private bar, gym, infinity pool, personal chef, and private boat. On the top floor, which is above the water, there is a deck to relax or sunbathe on.
The hotel was actually built in Singapore and then shipped to this island where they submerged it and nailed it with concrete pylons to keep it in place.
Besides this luxurious underwater hotel, there is also a five-star underwater restaurant called Ithaa as well as other villas that are located above the water.

This igloo village is fascinating in that it is all made out of glass rather than ice and snow. The village is located in Finland and even though it may be freezing all around the igloos, inside are cozy little rooms where tourists have the opportunity to not only sleep under the stars but also catch some amazing views. With that kind of view, there presents the opportunity to see the Northern Lights.

Imagine having breakfast with a giraffe! This unique vacation spot is located in Nairobi, Kenya. It was built in 1932 by Sir David Duncan. Starting off as a hunting lodge, it later became a shelter for Rothschild giraffes that had become an endangered species. While it serves as a shelter for the giraffes, it also serves as a hotel for guests. The giraffes love to hang out with and be hand-fed by the guests.

Very unique indeed! These “rooms” are actually made out of sewer pipes. That is an interesting concept. Designed in 2004, they all contain wall paintings by Thomas Latzel Ochoa, an Austrian artist and one round window with a double bed. That’s it. No other windows. No bathroom or facilities inside. They are like glorified tents. There are, however, facilities nearby that include toilets, showers, and cafeteria. Children would especially love it including the nearby pool. There are two locations: one in Austria and one in Germany. What is the price of staying here? The price is dependent on how much you like it.

Located in Sala, Sweden, this hotel suite could be a bit on the creepy side. This silver mine is 400 years old and used during the 20th century. Afterward, when there was nothing left to mine for, it was turned into a museum and this suite was built, which took 10 years to complete.
In this suite, there are no other guests unless you count the “ghosts” of dead miners. There are two chairs, one bed, and a table – that’s it. The temperature is about 65 degrees and is 508 feet underground. There are plenty of tunnels to explore – 12.5 miles of them. Of course, there is no cell phone service and because there are no other guests, you are completely cut off from the world.

There are so many unusual hotels and vacation spots. It all depends on what type of adventure or vacation setting you desire and, of course, how much you are willing to spend on it. Designers and engineers seem to have no end of their imaginations. If they can imagine it, they can build it.
