His unique style combined traditional bluegrass with elements of jazz, folk, and classical music to create something entirely new. As a young man, Steve performed at local clubs in Southern California and quickly gained a reputation as a talented musician. With his signature wild hair and infectious smile, Steve would take the stage with his beloved banjo and captivate audiences all night long.
