Seinfeld said, "I’m not talking about Harvard now. I’m talking about the way it used to be. You’re never going to believe this, Harvard used to be a great place to go to school."

"Now it's Duke," Seinfeld continued while noting that many of his staff members in the 1990s were Harvard graduates who felt ashamed of their affiliation with the prestigious Ivy League institution. Upon Seinfeld's introduction, a group of students chanted "free Palestine" as they exited the ceremony.
